Since its start in 2009, Katy Tennis Academy has earned the reputation as a premier tennis academy in Katy by teaching kids the fundamentals of tennis and making it fun, as well. We offer a wide range of services designed to fit all ages and ability levels. Classes and private lessons are conducted from morning to evening to fit any schedule.

Coach Andres Quijano
Coach Andres has been playing tennis at a high level for more than 30 years. He has participated in Open Tournaments in Bogota, Colombia, winning several Open Tournaments at the club level. He attained a bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Javeriana University in Bogota. He joined the PapaCarlos staff in 2006 and after 3 years, he decided to open up a branch in Katy, Texas which would be eventually be called Katy Tennis Academy. He is currently the Director and Head Coach of Katy Tennis Academy.
Coach Ayinde Hall
Coach Ayinde has been playing tennis competitively since he was 12 years old, reaching a rank of top 80 in Texas by the age of 17. He played varsity in high school and line 2 in college at Southwestern University. During his 6 years at Katy Tennis Academy, his teaching skills have grown exponentially and it’s great to see the students gradually improve after each session.
Coach Nicole Quijano
Coach Nicole has been playing tennis since the age of 5, and started out at Katy Tennis Academy until the end of middle school.
She was on the Varsity tennis team at Seven Lakes High School all four years where she earned multiple team district awards, made it to regionals and got third place at districts in girls doubles in 2021. Coach Nicole has been coaching since 2019 at Katy Tennis Academy sharing her expertise to kids at all levels.
She will be pursuing a Public Relations degree at Texas A&M in the Fall of 2023.
Coach Rishii Vijay
Coach Rishii started as an Intermediate level player at Katy Tennis Academy in 2014, achieving Advanced level which helped him make the tennis team at Beckendorff Junior High and Junior Varsity at Seven Lakes High School. He has helped with Coaching for several years now and will attend Texas A&M in the Fall of 2023.
Coach Nicole Tapia
Coach Nicole has been playing since the age of 7 and started playing at Katy Tennis Academy.
She was a four year varsity player at Seven Lakes High School, and helped the team earn District awards and advance to Regional finals. She also earned third place at Districts in girls doubles in 2021, and was a Regional quarterfinalist in girls singles in 2022. Coach Nicole has been coaching for a few years now. She is a student at Texas A&M University studying Biomedical Science.
